— Two men have been charged with trying to break in to a liquor store in the north end of Warren early last Thursday morning.

Michael Anthony Stravato, 20, of 11 Chedell Ave., East Providence, and Timothy Dubois, 19, of 4 Ryan Ave., Bristol, each face charges of attempted breaking and entering and felony conspiracy.

Warren police say the men tried, but failed, to break in to the Patriot Liquors at the corner of Water and Main streets at about 1:43 a.m. Police were called to the store by a neighbor; when they arrived, they saw two men flee the area on foot. Mr. Stravato was arrested on Davis Street following a brief foot chase; Mr. Dubois eluded capture. However, Warren Lt. Rolan Brule said that during the course of their investigation, detectives were able to identify him and subsequently obtained a warrant for his arrest. He was picked up Sunday.

Both men were arraigned and face court dates. They each have extensive criminal records, according to the state’s Criminal Information and Database.
