BRISTOL — To the editor:
Regarding Governor Chafee’s tax proposals, I find it hard to believe that people who can afford and enjoy a $40 restaurant meal plus a $4 to $6 tip, often rounded to the nearest dollar, would forgo that dinner if they had to pay an extra 80 cents in tax to help with the state’s financial problems.
