TOWN OF BRISTOL PUBLIC HEARING ON PETITION TO AMEND ZONING MAP UNDER THE ZONING ORDINANCE

— The Bristol Town Council will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 7:00 PM in the Bristol Town Council Chambers, 10 Court Street, Bristol, Rhode Island for general amendments to the Bristol Zoning Map to further implement the Comprehensive Plan. The amendment is to consider a general revision to the zoning map via conversion to a digital parcel-based map utilizing the Town’s geographic information system (GIS). Current zoning designations will not be changed, and no zone changes are proposed for individual properties. For properties that are currently split into more than one zone, the zoning boundary will be clarified.

All interested parties may review and examine a copy of the proposed zoning map at the Bristol Town Clerk’s Office between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM and on the Town’s web site at www.bristolri.us - also, copies may be obtained from the Town Clerk’s Office at no cost.

The proposal shown here may be altered or amended prior to the close of the public hearing without further advertising, as a result of further study, or because of the views expressed at the public hearing. Any such alteration of amendment must be presented for comment in the course of said hearing.
