BRISTOL — The Roger Williams University notched a pair of wins Saturday afternoon at the NEWA-Metro Conference Challenge Duals, defeating Hunter 23-18 and NYU 42-9 in between a 5-40 loss to TCNJ.

Collin Crowell (Hampstead, N.H.) had another strong day for the Hawks with three wins in the challenge. He pinned Jesse Capello-Colon of Hunter, then won by tech fall over Ryan Riegert of TCNJ. Then he ended the day with an 8-0 victory over Chris Amro of NYU.

Kyle D’Urso (Londonderry, N.H.) and Shane Parcel (Pine Brook, N.J.) each went 2-1, as D’Urso defeated Brady Kwong of Hunter 9-0 and pinned Cooper Puls of NYU. Parcel won 10-5 against Luke Pragdat and pinned Jake Pawlowski of NYU.

Conor Hayes (Old Bridge, N.J.) also took a pair of victories for the Hawks, beating Chris Gogatz of Hunter 4-1 and Dan Gorman of NYU 9-1.

Roger Williams with travel to Providence next Saturday for a pair of meets against Rhode Island College and Southern Maine.
